Connect EtikStudio with the systems you already use
Your product data stays where it lives. EtikStudio reads it, fills your labels, and prints — no manual re-typing.
Integration & connectivity
Databases
SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, Oracle, SQLite, and more.
Files
CSV, Excel (XLSX), TXT, JSON, XML.
APIs & services
REST API, Webhooks, token authentication.
Business systems
ERP, WMS, MES, SCM, and custom systems.
Automation
File Drop (folders), task scheduling, events and integrations.
How it works
-
1
Connect the source
Point EtikStudio to your database, file, or API endpoint with guided setup.
-
2
Map the fields
Drag each data field onto your label design: lot, date, serial, barcode content.
-
3
Print automatically
Trigger jobs from your ERP, a watched folder, or the editor — the data flows in on its own.

How to choose
| If… | Use |
|---|---|
| the ERP can make HTTP calls | REST API (built-in local server) |
| the ERP can only export files | Watched folder |
| it is SAP and you want native integration | Native SAP RFC |
| you print from the cloud or mobile devices | Connector + Relay (cloud) |
| industrial equipment, PLC or legacy socket | TCP socket |
| the label must read master data | Embedded data (ODBC / SQL / CSV) |
Most implementations combine two: a trigger path (REST, folder, RFC…) plus embedded data (ODBC) to complete the label.
Seven ways to connect your ERP
EtikStudio connects to your ERP in several ways, not only through the connector. Choose the one that fits your infrastructure; most implementations combine a trigger path with embedded data.
Connector + Relay (cloud)
The agent runs at the print point and links to your account. The ERP, portal or mobile app sends the job to the cloud; the relay routes it to the connector, which prints on the local printer via driver or native language.
ERP / Portal / App → Cloud → Relay → Connector → Printer
When to use it
Cloud or mobile printing · distributed print points managed centrally · printers not exposed to the ERP network
REST API (built-in local server)
EtikStudio ships an HTTP REST server with no external dependencies. The ERP makes an HTTP call and the label prints, with immediate success/failure per job and queue tracking.
ERP → REST call → EtikStudio → Printer
When to use it
ERPs that can make HTTP calls (almost all modern ones) · immediate per-job response · custom integration from the ERP backend
Watched folder
EtikStudio watches a folder. When the ERP drops a CSV, JSON or XML file, it is processed and printed automatically. The no-code integration: point your ERP export at the folder. One file can carry one or many records; the template is chosen by file name or by a field.
ERP export → watched folder → EtikStudio → Printer
When to use it
ERPs without an API that can export files · legacy and mainframe systems producing flat files · fast integration without touching the ERP
FTP / network share
A variant of the watched folder for ERPs that deliver files to an FTP server or a shared network folder. EtikStudio polls the location and processes new files.
ERP → FTP / share → EtikStudio (polling) → Printer
When to use it
B2B integrations that already exchange files by FTP · printing on a different machine from the one generating the data
TCP socket
EtikStudio listens on a TCP port and receives print jobs over a raw socket. Designed for industrial equipment, PLCs and legacy systems that speak socket instead of HTTP.
PLC / legacy → TCP port → EtikStudio → Printer
When to use it
Production-line machinery emitting over socket · systems that already send to "an IP and a port" · environments where HTTP is not an option
Native SAP RFC
Native SAP integration through the SAP NW RFC SDK: EtikStudio registers an RFC server exposing a function that ABAP calls directly. No files, no HTTP — SAP talks to EtikStudio as if it were another SAP system. Requires the SAP NW RFC SDK (distributed by SAP to account holders).
ABAP → RFC function → EtikStudio → Printer
When to use it
SAP customers who want native integration · printing triggered from SAP transactions and processes
Embedded data (ODBC / SQL / CSV)
Instead of the ERP pushing data, the template pulls it at print time: fields bound to columns of a query against the ERP database (ODBC), a CSV file or a direct SQL query. Combine it with any trigger path — the ERP sends only a SKU and the label completes the rest.
Template ⇐ ODBC / SQL / CSV at print time
When to use it
Labels completed with ERP master data (prices, lots, descriptions) read at print time · combined with any trigger path
Security
- REST API: authentication by API key or multi-user Basic Auth. The local server can be restricted to the internal network.
- Connector: linked to your account, communication through the relay; only the linked connector receives that account's jobs.

Integration guides by ERP
Scenarios by system
SAP
Production orders (MM/PP), deliveries and HUs (SD/LE), and warehouse (WM/EWM), via views, processed IDocs, or SAP HANA over ODBC.
Oracle
E-Business Suite, Fusion, and JD Edwards: orders and shipments via database views or scheduled extracts.
Microsoft Dynamics 365
Sales, transfers, and production from Business Central / F&O, via direct queries or exports.
IBM AS/400 · IBM i
The classic still running the plant: EtikStudio queries DB2 for i over ODBC, takes spool/export files, or receives the trigger from RPG/CL. Your long-standing programs label without being rewritten.
Oracle NetSuite
Orders and items via exported saved searches or integrations to an intermediate database.
Odoo
Direct to PostgreSQL with read-only views, or via exports from the inventory and manufacturing modules.
Epicor / Infor / Sage
SQL views or exports from production and distribution modules, with the same integration pattern.
API · Custom
In-house development? If it exposes a SQL view, exports files, or can call the connector, it integrates the same way — the most common case.
